The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 试图表达很多，但想表达的又都被蜻蜓点水一般的就带过去了。
电影结束有种意犹未尽啧 林嘉欣可真好看 电影开始有几个侧脸镜头可真漂亮啊
优点是镜头运用和段落衔接做的很舒服。但林嘉欣的表演没有层次，父亲的角色没有分量，反倒是小女孩儿，有那么点出彩。把故事交给争吵，看起来吵的很热闹，其实冲突感并不深刻，家也像盘散沙，没有太多家人的感觉。
当青春期的少女遇到患乳腺癌的妈妈，当跨文化环境成长的女孩在不同校园环境中切换，当中年父亲面对身患癌症的妻子，…冲突和温馨交织的一家人，充满烟火气的普通生活。青春期的小女生角表演完美。
从故事到表演都没有留下太深印象的小品。“同龄人电影”这个属性这一回没有加分。
背景和故事内容相似，却比瀑布流畅太多了。结尾仓促了些。
平淡真实，内涵丰富，耐人寻味。
林嘉欣真是太可惜了，一代港星女神里少有演技好的，却错过了整个黄金时代。

3.5 可能过高期望在于她能把文化背景层次讲高深一点，我现在很少能吃进去有些温吞表达，也可能是太平淡了~

矛盾展开的地方远远大于矛盾解决的办法，导演撕开了家庭表面和睦的口子，却没有办法把它缝补好，不同的文化环境只是借力点，我没有看到背后深层的力量，最后活脱脱变成了一出狗血大赏，除了小妹，感觉这一家都需要去看一下心理医生。
