The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 其实想翻盘有点夸张了，人家也没说要翻盘啥的。
凯奇太适合这种自我指涉的主题了。虽然故事上有不少巧思和有趣的设计，但影片整体又很显然宥于导演的能力，没能更进一步拍出凯奇的复杂性和“传奇”。我是在期待20世代的《艾德伍德》嘛？
看了这么多年MR.CAGE的好片和烂片之后，对其中的很多元素还真挺有共鸣的。

自己演自己演自己…俗套的故事，因为是凯奇吐槽自己和致敬自己，而且恰到好处，就变得有趣很多，我很喜欢这个点子，其实我也不介意其他过气大明星借着类似的影片回顾自己的演绎生涯，比几分钟看电影那种要好吧

主线、B故事都属于三流类型片，唯一的突破是人物设置：凯奇演凯奇
“不要蜜蜂，不要蜜蜂”那里真是笑死哈哈哈哈。
如果是尼古拉斯凯奇本人导演的，还可以加一分。确实很不容易，上一部评分还说的过去的主演电影是2009年的《坏中尉》。
三星半：男性中年危机，影帝天鹅挽歌，迷影黑色幽默，逐梦小岛惊魂。千面银幕容不下一个角色，万家灯火照不亮一轮孤影。咖啡馆的日光炙烤着倾情的演出，地下室的炽灯弥漫着昔日的荣光。没有一种麻药比戏瘾更加上头，没有一种角色比自己更难扮演，没有一种情感比影迷更加长久，没有一种场景比家庭值得向往。
