The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 虽然没呼应片名重走第一部的密室惊悚路线，整体往血浆动作片偏移，但依旧在道德沦丧的故事类型上继续深挖（更惨了），依然是无尿点之余也有引人思考的部分。

做为体育传记片，并不算优秀，节奏有些拖沓。多一颗星给的是真实的人物本身和他拼搏的精神。不放弃的拼搏精神是口好鸡汤，总是可以打动人的。结尾看到女主原来和真实人物还是挺像的，做到了努力还原。
大大丧失了第一部里的窒息感，本质上是戒毒宣传片。
即使面对虎毒食子这样的动机仍然用『毒贩+利益』的组合合理化
