The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 特效音乐制作都在水准之上，但导演偷懒，笑料低级尴尬，科幻故事讲得毫无信念感，整个故事都很难立起来。想学楚门玩全球孤独直播，也玩得四不像。片尾想学董存瑞孤胆英雄整煽情，也真的大可不必。现场还来了不少“托”强行扣主题提问，也显得很刻意。
对于原著呈现这一块做的很差 搞笑的部分删减了很多 反倒是袋鼠的戏份给了太多 挺不靠谱的 效果也不怎么好 沈腾只能演自己就不提了 明明是个悲剧角色最后却伟光正如吴京一般 就楞说为了爱情吧也不是不能接受 但是马丽这张脸有啥说服力啊？
纯因为个人趣味打分，be美学爱好者心满意足，观影过程中一度分不清二三次元，电影这样的结局很好了～ 马蓝星，而我姗姗来迟

叫喜剧？吴京刚从摄影棚出来，你丫沈腾就窜进去，拍这个糊弄人？那个袋鼠都演的吓人，换个可爱的动物都不会？
我愿把袋鼠拉车和《阿拉丁》的魔毯飞行并称为宇宙两大浪漫hhhhh
并不是完成度很高的电影 但算得上麻花勇于突破边界的一次成功的尝试
我这个路人听到“下落特烦恼”就都忍不住想磕了。分屏终究还会再相见的。朦胧又清晰，适配独孤月和马蓝星，也适配st和ml。
3.5星。尬的地方太尬（比如袋鼠出现后的前40分钟），有些情节非常不科学不物理。然而开头和结尾的2分钟动画还不错（谁做的定格好可爱！），以及月面滑板+宇宙里的个人英雄主义太浪漫了我大声哭泣😭

唯一的惊喜点在于对体制运行（潜）规则本身的讽刺以及对迷影梗的有机运用，算是一种做科幻喜剧的正确方向，剩下的基本就都是问题了。另外，为了完成度东拼西凑了那么多就像抄了篇廉价的三手范文，拼到最后最好的还是"Take Me Home, Country Roads"，唉，是啊，它终于也在我们自己的“科幻片”出现了
中间追阳光的时候真的好燃啊，沈叔叔人到中年也热血了一把哈哈哈哈。
比预期要好✔ 继夏洛之后沈马终于又演荧幕CP了不管怎么说我圆满了😭花开并蒂，票房百亿😭😭哥姐给我冲就完事了！！！！！！
还不错，金刚鼠做得细致，扛住了大近景，而且跟沈腾的互动又好笑又好哭

很用心诚恳的作品了，笑点不三俗，有创意，就是煽情太多了。
这部片子也别给自己贴科幻标签了，剧情里违反物理定律的桥段不胜枚举，我实在没法牺牲所有的现实逻辑来体会这片里戏剧逻辑。您这离最基本的软科幻题材还有一大截子路呢，您这就是一还没到及格线的烂俗爱情喜剧片，别给自己脸上贴金，啊~
仍然是短视频思维的电影，可以有莫名其妙像只狗的袋鼠，可以不管所谓设定随意“科幻”，可以有无死角乱视角的全程直播，并且一定要有可供剪辑和变成谈资的“冥场面”，比如宇宙中举着核弹一边飞一边深情告白…不知是更鸡贼还是更真诚，反正没有更好笑，不过这次也只是中年意淫，没有过多的下流段子，这才是让我觉得这次并没有那么“开心麻花”…人类毁灭是幻想，“独行”在地球才是现实，让大家观看一场盛大的自杀仪式，通过直播重新唤醒“二舅精神”，这一切都挺赛博朋克的…
不过节奏还算是蛮紧凑的，很少会有觉得无聊的剧情，在开心麻花自己的作品中能排个中上吧。作为一部喜剧，特效也还可以。配乐用得也还不错。
