The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 虽然刚刚开始看的时候觉得唧唧歪歪，可是她俩真的好可爱啊！剧情节奏也不拖沓，感觉高中生女杀手真的很好看啊！
太大的预期，反响平平。知道这部电影还是因为公交站台广告纸质宣传了有一个月吧，终于看上了，感觉很一般。
本片让我想到了一句话——没有硝烟的战争。战争中这种幕后的信息战、间谍战举不胜举，本片选材的特色是欺敌计划，和中国古代的“三十六计”太像了，正所谓兵不厌诈，通过信息战的手段以最少的伤亡达到取胜的目的。

故事很好，演员很好，但是拍得实在是……没有节奏，没有氛围
计划有意思，但就不太像一个保密行动，各种人都知道，反而有国产剧的感觉，干啥都是谈恋爱
4 1/2 王牌特工起源依靠屎尿屁希望达到的，绞肉行动好好说话成功抵达了，特别“人味”的电影，当然肯定又是“历史虚无主义”了
拍的…相当平庸。对于肉馅行动这样一个相当著名的故事来说，平庸就是一种浪费。甚至一丝一毫的惊喜都没有，无论从拍摄上还是从故事编排。一个学院派毕业生的练手或者处女座的水平？感情戏其实点到为止就行了…何必这样。作为情报传递，应该有更多的紧张快切甚至长镜头来表达情报被一层层采纳的荒诞感。或者干脆只聚焦在伦敦的人们，同类型至暗时刻拍的真好啊…还是不明白肉馅行动怎么会拍成这样…唯一可看的竟然是长腿细腰的军官走在英伦街上，竟有一丝熟悉感和亲切感。脸叔确实老了呜呜呜呜多希望搭档是马强（ps.驻西班牙大使…为这一切付出太多…太惨辽
杀手寓言退休后的接班人是吧，小日本的动作设计噼里啪啦竟然还不错。
事情挺有意义，但电影不够精彩。跟间谍、战争都有关系，1毛钱的关系。
对于这段历史并不陌生，但影片参杂的感情戏比重太大，让原本可以很紧凑题材令人看着有些乏味，西班牙的几场戏略显猥琐，全片2个多小时也没拍出大战在即的紧迫感和防谍保密的危机感。。。脸叔倒是富态不少~
科林叔和麦克唐纳的爱情戏实属画蛇添足，太像电影了，过于老套了，过分强调小把戏的作用了
因为从一开始就失去了悬念，所以这部谍战剧就只能另辟蹊径，比如走文艺路线。毕竟，导演又怎么会浪费两代达西先生呢？
本来以为是无趣的谍战片，没想到看到入神，有一点克制又有一点有趣。
标题挺惊悚，还谍战，全篇几乎没有对手戏，就像英国人自己在玩儿过家家，一点儿紧张感都没有。浪费了我一个小时17分钟，实在看不下去了。这破电影，也就男主演的演技还算对得起电影这个行当。
一大票颜值巨高的英国演员演绎的主旋律战争片，高颜值和双排扣军装的视觉盛宴。另外超级喜欢各个角色的口音。
超级中规中矩但不至于无聊。这居然是去年的片子我一直以为是新片😂今年新片真没几个能打的，还是得看戛纳
很沉闷的一部影片，这是第一印象。类型真的不适合划分到战争，单单剧情就可以了。如果一个人时间非常充裕，又没有什么急事需要处理的话，可以泡一杯咖啡或者一壶茶，细细慢慢地品味这部剧情片。
也就英国人能把一部谍战片拍得那么平淡如水，观看过程极为乏味，基本可以视为一部影视话痨片。所有人物跟走马灯一样，最重要的核心事件，就只拍前期铺垫，行动进展过程，感觉是草草带过。除非你是精神英国人或历史迷，真没多大必要去受这个罪。本片最清晰的部分其实是预告，你大致知道故事后，直接去搜真实事件相关历史的百科，这就够了。
People joke that there are only 40 plus actors/actresses in Britain and you see them everywhere. This movie makes me think that the joke is actually telling the truth. Good to see the familiar faces. I like this movie.
