The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 如何做部优秀单场景悬疑片？首先请个老戏骨撑着，马克里朗斯绝对胜任虽感觉老爷子只发挥七成却将主角深藏不露机智过人老谋深算演的惟妙惟肖。之后是剧情和人物间猜疑反转等阿加莎式悬疑点都做到，自然就是部不错悬疑片
导演功底不足，找到了舞台转折冲突的张力感，但整体故事效果欠佳
编剧就像是主角裁剪师一样，精巧地剪出一部小而精巧的剧本，片尾的⭕渐隐字幕也暗示着一种周而复始的结构吧——黑帮烧死了他的妻女，他最后也用一把火来结束这对黑帮的覆灭之计。

字面意义上中规中矩密闭空间电影，反转悬念点到为止，结局推进过快为了抖包袱其实有点崩了，好在细节跟得上。喜欢那个“你枪里没子弹”的妙笔，可能是整部电影的缩影。

Rylance演得太好了，令人安心的那种好。舞台剧感像在对标Hangmen，加上又有Flynn乱入，我甚至暂停瞅了一眼编剧里有没有McDonagh……（1:11:45画面右下晃过”鬼手“……
短小精悍的室内电影，感觉拍成话剧会非常精彩，剧本不错，层层反转，虽有bug，瑕不掩瑜。
《模仿游戏》编剧的导演处女作，发生封闭房间里的多重反转剧，充满舞台剧风格的野心之作。有点像西德尼·吕美特的《死亡计中计》。但可能因为设计感太强，惊喜和悬念都未能坚持到最后。如果导演不是花大部分心思于戏剧结构的设计，其实可以像开头一样，多拍一些主人公裁量衣服的情节。这种沉浸于手艺和细节之中的戏份，极富质感。有《魅影缝匠》的神韵。期待导演的小说《最初的光明，最后的黑暗》早日搬上荧幕！
